OfficeLine offers its own database solution, which was specifically developed for the types of
services that the system is designed to provide. The solution allows for the optimum management of
all data types and includes a freely configurable interface that enables OfficeLine to import data
from other systems, maintain them, and modify them based on current conditions (e.g., according to
the processing stage of a transaction requested by a client).
Using its own database enables OfficeLine to be switched to a fully autonomous mode, ensuring
its continuous operation even in the case of failure of a related. Therefore, OfficeLine ensures
the full-scale operation of client services on a 24/7 basis.
Example
OfficeLine accepts current data from a bank's information system, storing them in its
database; the data include account balances. When a payment order (or other type of transaction) is
received, the client's account balance stored by OfficeLine in its database is updated and the
appropriate amount of the payment order is deducted. At the same time, OfficeLine will communicate
the appropriate information to the banking system.
In this way updated account balances are stored not only in the bank's information system
but also in the OfficeLine database. OfficeLine thus can provide information on the current balance
of an account (or perform operations that depend on the current balance) even if the bank's
information system is down, regardless of whether this the result of planned maintenance or due to
an unexpected failure.
