OfficeLine Fax allows using fax messages as a communication means for the transfer of required information to a client, or also for entering transactions.
The form of fax messages can be used to send to clients information on transaction processing and other private information kept in an OfficeLine database. When used in the banking sector, fax messages can be used to send e.g. account statements or transaction confirmations to clients.
Integration with Other Modules
OfficeLine Fax can be used to complement the offer of other modules with the option of sending information via fax. For instance, when connected to the OfficeLine WWW module, clients can use the bank's web pages to make a request for their account statement, which will be sent to the entered fax number.
Generally, sending information via fax is suitable for all clients that need to receive information in a written form for archiving or as a document for a third party. Therefore, OfficeLine Fax can be successfully used if a client needs to prove his or her solvency or a sent payment to a vendor etc. With respect to the opportunities offered by other distribution channels, using fax messages for entering transactions is suitable rather as an auxiliary service for (especially retail) clients that prefer this form of communication before communicating via electronic means. Principle of OfficeLine Fax Module OperationOfficeLine Fax transforms data stored in a database to fax messages and send those messages to clients at the required number, based on a request from another distribution channel.
Clients send messages certified with a message authentication code, or other data authenticating the messages. The messages are received by operators, who manually enter them into OfficeLine. OfficeLine will only allow processing such messages that are certified with valid authentication data. The messages are then processed in the same way as messages received with electronic means.
Available Security FeaturesDue to the method of communication used, it is impossible to ensure the confidentiality of the contents of sent messages. However, the usage of message authentication data allows checking the identity of the message sender. Using a token provides for a secure confirmation of the message integrity—even the operator receiving the message cannot change the instructions for the transaction. |
